What is MYTHOS

MYTHOS is a two-year (2011-2013) project realised by 5 storytelling organisations from Greece, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Wales, supported by Grundtvig programme.
The partners of this project are five organizations that are involved in storytelling. We all organize storytelling festivals in our countries and arrange workshops and educational activities in storytelling. The trainers and trainees from the five organizations will participate in the meetings so as to exchange knowledge in storytelling techniques and methods. Moreover, they will gain experience and have new ideas in the way of organizing a festival. Also, during the meetings, we will have the opportunity to learn by listening and telling stories to each other coming from different cultural heritages in order to bring out the diversity and the common paths of the European stories. In all the meetings, storytelling workshops will be held. The aim will be to create multilingual and multicultural storytelling performances. This way the stories can travel, overcoming the barrier of language since the participants will create parallel storytelling performances of one story in different languages. So stories and languages will be alive and heard in front of various audiences.
